A film lifestyle session - eek!

I am so excited to share this all film, in-home family session with you!  When I put out a model call for an all film session, I did not expect this family to be interested. After all, this mama is a super talented family portrait photographer.  I can't tell you how nervous I was photographing for them and in the two weeks that I dreadfully waited for my film to be developed and scanned, I prayed to the universe for these to turn out the way I envisioned every single day!!!  I've known this amazing couple for a decade now (oh my!) - before the arrival of their three little ones and even prior to marriage.  In fact, I haven't forgotten the way I felt when they generously invited me to their wedding after I begged and begged for an invitation - I think it was embarrassment and a little shame.  DK + A, it was such an honor to document your family for you and I hope these photographs will serve as wonderful reminders of your lives the way it is at this very second - though chaotic and busy, it is constantly filled with so much joy and warmth.

I love these lifestyle in-home family sessions. What wonderful reminders of the place our children are growing up, the place we are growing old with our partners, and the small things that we do as a family.  So much of these details are lost in a traditional portrait session.  If you haven't had a session like this, I urge you to give it a try, with me or with any other photographers who specialize in lifestyle photography. I am certain you won't regret it.

Beware - a long post because I had too many favorites...
